Lynn Moore

Brome-Missisquoi

Lynn Moore now likes to say that her career began in the Eastern Townships with an unpaid summer internship at the Stanstead Journal, Quebec’s oldest weekly newspaper. By the time she wrapped up a Concordia University dual major in journalism and political science, the Toronto Star – Canada’s largest newspaper – offered the single mother a job.

Six years later, Lynn wanted to return to her native Montreal and landed work at The Gazette. Aside from a year with the Vancouver Sun, Lynn spent the rest of her career in Montreal. When she left newspapers in 2015, Lynn was the editor in charge of the Gazette’s business section.

During an award-winning career, Lynn’s beats included legal affairs, education and natural resources. Her reporting covered everything from provincial budgets to Quebec’s best hiking trails, to the École polytechnique de Montréal massacre.

Most recently, Lynn has taken to tinkering in Lac-Brome, occasional freelance work and enjoying country life.
